As the RN Shift Supervisor, you will provide clinical leadership and oversee all patient care activities on your assigned shift.
- Clinical Coordination: Assess complex patient needs, develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, and coordinate directly with supervising physicians to ensure a smooth recovery process.
- Supervision & Delegation: Directly supervise the entire nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) on your assigned shift, ensuring delegation of duties is appropriate and tasks are performed in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular nursing rounds on all units, track treatments, monitor patient progress, and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and in full compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Medication Management: Monitor complex medication distribution, blood drawing, and other essential patient care tasks, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
- Education & Support: Provide ongoing education and clinical guidance to staff, residents, and their families to promote best practices in healing and wellness.
- Team Collaboration: Work independently and as part of a collaborative team to ensure all operational duties are fulfilled and assist with other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator.
- Licensure: Must hold an Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience: A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care, or related facility is required. Prior experience in inpatient, palliative care, and managing staff is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, advanced clinical judgment, communication, and computer skills are essential.
- Attributes: Must be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
