Responsibilities of Admissions Director:
- Responsible for managing, planning, and organizing the admission process
- Apply sales and marketing principles when interacting with healthcare professionals including, but not limited to hospitals, home health agencies, case managers, area nursing homes, physicians in private practice for purposes of generating referrals.
- Provide daily updates to the facility and support team
- Conduct facility tours for potential admissions
- Welcome guest and family upon admission
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Completion of an Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with course work in sales, marketing, business administration, social services or related area or work experience.
- Prior sales and marketing experience
- Proven success increasing SNF census.
- Strong relationships with hospital case managers, social workers, and discharge planners.
- Experience with Medicare, Managed Care, and insurance authorizations.
- Comfort reviewing clinical referrals to identify appropriate admissions.
- Ability to collaborate closely with nursing, therapy, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Strong communication with residents and families throughout the admission process.
- Willingness to participate in marketing, networking, community outreach, and hospital visits.
- Data-driven approach using referral conversion rates, occupancy trends, and length-of-stay metrics to improve performance
