Registered Nurse-RN-MDS Coordinator Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current, unrestricted New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license
Previous long-term care experience preferred
Experience as a Registered Nurse-RN-MDS Coordinator or MDS assessment experience in a skilled nursing setting preferred
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of federal and state MDS regulations
Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
Registered Nurse-RN-MDS Coordinator Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse-RN-MDS Coordinator, you will:
Coordinate and complete accurate MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
Partner with nursing, therapy, social services, and other departments to develop individualized resident care plans.
Ensure documentation supports quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and reimbursement accuracy.
Monitor assessment schedules and update MDS documentation as residents' conditions change.
Participate in care plan meetings and contribute clinical expertise to improve resident outcomes.
Educate and support clinical staff on MDS processes, documentation standards, and regulatory updates.
Work closely with leadership to maintain compliance and promote continuous quality improvement.
Help ensure Complete Care continues to provide the highest level of resident-centered care.
