Complete Automation, located in Lake Orion, Michigan, in northern Oakland County, is a global industry leader in fluid delivery systems. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. The Project Manager will oversee projects from the beginning of site installation through completion, working closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Manufacturing, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from the beginning of site installation through final completion.
  • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria in collaboration with management and Project Engineering.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate the efforts of Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Manufacturing, field personnel, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Establish project timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and critical paths.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, schedules, and deliverables to ensure projects remain on track and within budget.
  • Communicate project expectations, updates, and changes clearly and consistently to team members, customers, contractors, and management.
  • Develop and deliver project status reports, proposals, presentations, and other project documentation.
  • Identify and proactively address project risks, issues, conflicts, and potential delays.
  • Manage changes in project scope and develop contingency plans when necessary.
  • Identify project dependencies and coordinate resources to maintain project schedules.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities appropriately and hold team members and contractors accountable for assigned work.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Work closely with management and Project Engineering to ensure project objectives align with overall business goals.
  • Determine the need for additional personnel, consultants, equipment, or other resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and motivation to project team members and contractors.
  • Ensure appropriate quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement best practices, processes, and tools to improve project execution and management.
  • Travel frequently to customer sites and project locations, potentially up to 25%

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 5 years of direct Project Management experience, including project planning, execution, and completion.
  • Experience with piping, fluid delivery systems, industrial equipment, or related manufacturing/industrial environments preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Strong ability to identify problems, evaluate solutions, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and coordinate individuals across a broad range of disciplines, including customers, contractors, engineers, production personnel, and management.
  • Ability to build cooperation and maintain productive relationships with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently and be away from home for extended periods as project requirements dictate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
