Mitigation Technician

Position Overview:

The mitigation technician works under the mitigation lead.  Their responsibilities would entail taking and following direction from the lead and performing all tasks at hand that are associated with all jobs and daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow instructions and complete tasks to high standards of quality
• Manage time efficiently to complete assignments within deadlines
• Work closely with team members to maintain a productive and supportive environment
• Take direction from supervisors and implement feedback effectively
• Maintain a professional attitude when working in customer homes or businesses
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times
  
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to emergency jobs when available
• Perform other duties as assigned

 Required Qualifications:

• No experience required
  
• Ability to follow directions 
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Willingness to learn documentation and processes

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Frequent travel to multiple residential and commercial job sites, often with varying schedules
• Work performed in diverse environments, including hot, cold, wet, humid, dusty, dirty, and odor-prone conditions
• Exposure to damaged structures resulting from water, fire, mold, or other property loss events, once areas are deemed safe
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces, basements, and attics
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working on feet for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, equipment, and tools weighing up to 50 pounds or more
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, goggles, respirators, Tyvek suits, hard hats, and high-visibility clothing
• Exposure to cleaning agents, disinfectants, and restoration equipment in accordance with safety guidelines
• Prolonged periods of driving and occasional desk work for job documentation and reporting
• Work performed in fast-paced, time-sensitive, and occasionally high-stress situations
