Court Reporting Coordinator

Compex Legal Services is hiring a Court Reporting Coordinator to join our Torrance team. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven role focused on coordinating depositions, supporting transcript workflow, and delivering exceptional service to clients, court reporters, and vendors.
This position is ideal for someone with court reporting or deposition services experience who understands urgency, accuracy, and the moving parts of litigation support.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeposition Scheduling & Coordination
- Schedule depositions, conference rooms, interpreters, videographers, and Zoom links
- Send confirmations, cancellations, and deposition notices
- Prepare and distribute Court Reporting Packets
- Recruit and coordinate court reporters and vendors nationwide, including negotiating rates
- Maintain reporter/vendor coverage lists by city and state
Transcript & Production Support
- Monitor transcript deadlines and follow up with reporters to ensure timely delivery
- Review transcripts and exhibits for formatting, completeness, and professionalism
- Coordinate final transcript delivery to clients
Client & Reporter Communication
- Manage call queues and return client messages within one hour
- Provide status updates to attorneys and legal staff
- Escalate issues and complaints promptly and professionally
Systems & Database Management
- Enter updates into RB database within 24 hours with a high level of accuracy
- Manage client profiles and orders through RB9
- Maintain organized and accurate internal records
Additional Support
- Assist with workflow improvements and operational projects as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- 1–2 years of experience in court reporting, deposition services, or legal scheduling
- Strong understanding of deposition workflow
- Experience coordinating reporters, interpreters, or legal vendors
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (phone & email)
Preferred:
- Experience working for a court reporting agency
- Familiarity with RB9 or similar scheduling/database systems
- Experience supporting virtual depositions (Zoom/Teams)
