Senior System Developer

We are seeking a Senior System Developer to lead the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of mission-critical software applications within DoD environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in microservice architectures, cloud computing, database management, and security compliance, ensuring seamless software development aligned with defense requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct requirements analysis and system design, ensuring alignment with DoD operational objectives.
• Develop, modify, and enhance software applications using Java and scripting languages such as Python.
• Lead software integration, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for defense applications.
• Develop test cases and automate testing to maintain system integrity and reliability.
• Provide configuration management, bug fixing, and operations maintenance within DoD infrastructure.
• Design microservice architectures for web and application services, integrating virtual instances, load balancing, surge capabilities, and performance monitoring.
• Develop applications using traditional SQL-based database management systems and NoSQL data management systems with full-text search.
• Implement security controls aligned with Federal information system regulations and DoD cybersecurity protocols.
• Automate application deployment, scaling, and management across on-premise and off-premise cloud environments.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and documentation to customer management.
• Work within Agile Scrum methodologies, ensuring efficient project execution and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance: TS preferred

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent work experience.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting software development within Agile Scrum frameworks.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Python for system development.
  • Extensive experience with microservices, cloud computing, database architectures, and security implementations.
  • Ability to analyze, develop, and optimize performance across enterprise-level systems.
  • Proven ability to debug, troubleshoot, and conduct performance tuning for mission-critical applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with classified defense systems and DoD IT security policies.
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and secure cloud infrastructures.
• Certifications such as Security , CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or DoD-approved system development credentials.
