POSITION TITLE: QUALITY CONTROL, MECHANICAL INSPECTOR LVL I
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Level 1 Quality Control Inspector is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic inspection activities on machined parts and assemblies. This role focuses on learning inspection fundamentals, following documented procedures, and identifying obvious non-conformances.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform basic dimensional inspections using standard inspection tools
- Conduct in-process inspections with minimal assistance
- Complete low-complexity First Article Inspections
- Identify and document visual and dimensional non-conformances
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and job documentation
- Recognize common GD&T symbols
- Accurately complete inspection and quality records
- Work safely in a manufacturing environment
