Duties
- Safely operate shuttle buses, van, or other commercial vehicles to transport clients to appointments, recreational activities, or other destinations
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with mobility challenges or special needs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met
- Communicate clearly with passengers to provide route information and address any questions or concerns
- Manage heavy lifting when loading or unloading luggage, mobility aids, or packages with care and efficiency
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition reports
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation at all times
Experience
- Prior shuttle driving or delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with bus driving or paratransit services is a plus
- Proven ability in commercial driving, including limousine or school bus driving, demonstrating excellent driving skills and safety awareness
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with diverse clients and team members
- Experience with vehicle maintenance routines and basic troubleshooting is advantageous
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading tasks
- Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools to optimize trip efficiency
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type; clean driving record required and background check
