Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of long-term care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality personal care, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents, and promoting their well-being. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve, particularly individuals with memory care needs and those on the autism spectrum.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Transfer from bed to chair and from chair to bed
- Light housekeeping
- Med reminders
- Run errands
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programs.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by following hygiene protocols and safety guidelines.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in resident condition to appropriate staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or long-term care settings is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of CPR techniques is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
