Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and supervision to ensure client safety
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks related to client care
- Provide medication reminders (non-clinical)
- Accurately document services in compliance with agency requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable caregiving experience
- Successful completion of a state-approved PCA training program or active CNA certification (Maryland)
- Geriatric Aide training (preferred but not required)
- Submission of two (2) personal references and two (2) professional/work references
- Current TB test and physical examination in accordance with state guidelines
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Reliable transportation to assigned client locations
