Bankruptcy Attorney

Chapter 7 Focused, Bankruptcy Attorney—Shape impact with a team setting the new standard.

At Compassionate Counsel, we believe that financial empowerment is a tool of the new normal. Our legal team is a key partner to clients facing mounting debt, while fighting misinformation in a fast-moving digital environment. We are trusted advisors, negotiators, and strategist, who guide individuals and businesses through financial hardship with skill, patience, and respect.

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a candidate with six months to one year experience as a practicing Chapter 7 Attorney, with an active AZ Bar license in good standing, to join our expanding team. This is a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of financial disputes, asset negotiation, and high-impact debt restructuring plans that affect individuals and small businesses. You will do more than draft motions; you will be an integral part of case strategy, creditor talks and crafting creative solutions that provide relief.

What You’ll Do

· Guide clients through case assessment, eligibility, and bankruptcy preparation

· Draft and file petitions, prepare schedules and disclosures, and represent clients at all required hearings

· Negotiate with creditors and trustees for the best possible client outcomes

· Mentor others in customer care, communication, and professionalism

· Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology, credit rebuilding, and financial awareness tools into client service.

· Help build our reputation for making stressed clients feel at ease and empowered

What Makes You A Great Fit

· Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited school and an active, clean Arizona Bar license

· Six months to one year of Chapter 7 practice; additional state bars and debt settlement experience are a plus

· Bonus: A minimum of 12 months in hospitality or direct client-service industry work in restaurants, bars, hotels, retail, counseling, or similar customer-focused environments. We hire attorneys who know how to connect with people and keep calm under pressure

· Adaptable, skilled communicator and problem-solver

· A client centered, non-confrontational interaction style

· Comfortable with technology: NextChapter, MS Office, CRM tools

· Eager for rapid onboarding (ready to go solo after 1–2 days of in-depth training)

Your Impact

You will be a trusted advisor to clients under immense financial pressure, combining legal skill with empathy and patience. Your ability to connect with people—honed in hospitality or other service roles—will help clients feel supported, informed, and empowered. That mindset is essential here.

Compensation And Benefits

We believe in rewarding both stability and growth:

· Base Salary: Commensurate with experience.

· Profit Sharing: After 5 months, attorneys enter our profit-sharing track. This starts at 10% and grows by 5% every six months, capped at 35% in year four.

· By year four, attorneys who have demonstrated excellence and cultural fit may be invited to explore partnership opportunities.

· Work-life integration: Hybrid remote options and generous paid leave, including wellbeing days, to ensure you can do your best work without burning out.
