In-Home Senior Care Caregiver

Compassion Care PDX is hiring compassionate, professional caregivers to provide in-home senior care services in Portland, Oregon.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We're looking for caring, reliable individuals to join our team as In-Home Senior Care Caregivers. You'll work directly with seniors in their homes, providing personalized care and support. This is meaningful work that makes a real difference in people's lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs and preferences
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintain a clean, safe living environment
• Provide safe transportation to medical appointments, shopping, and social activities
• Offer companionship and emotional support to combat loneliness
• Maintain detailed care documentation and communicate with family members
• Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols
• Build meaningful relationships with clients based on trust and respect
• Report any concerns or changes in client condition to supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Oregon driver's license with reliable transportation
• Background check clearance (we conduct thorough screening)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain - we provide training)
• Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
• Caregiving experience preferred but not required - we train the right attitude!
