Responsibilities The overall responsibility of our new sales representative is to achieve sales and merchandising goals. In order to do this the person selected for this role must * Analyze account base by visiting them and identifying opportunities; completes all necessary surveys and ensures national account compliance where applicable * Attend Friday morning sales meetings at the office * Call on accounts and cover daily routes * Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to customers * Open new accounts to expand the company footprint * Participate in effective supplier work with sales calls and sales blitzes * Service accounts by delivering products to customers as needed; handle customer issues * Manage customer account receivables including collecting checks from customers * Conduct staff training and retail wine tastings; sometimes on weekends as needed * All other duties assigned The Candidate Our new sales representative will possess a demonstrated record of sales experience spanning a minimum of two years. S/he must be a results-oriented professional with strong verbal/written communication skills and providing exceptional customer service. Further, the person we choose must be motivated by meeting or exceeding targets and budgets while paying attention to details and meeting deadlines. Our new sales representative will be a highly motivated, intelligent, aggressive self-starter who desires to work without day-to-day direction and is a “hands-on doer.” S/he is also a team player, adept at promoting and sustaining supportive relationships with colleagues and superiors in a fast paced, high-volume team environment. The person we choose must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and must have reliable transportation as well as proof of auto insurance. Some college or a college degree will be a plus as would Spanish and/or Italian fluency. While performing the duties of this job the person is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use their hands and fingers as well as to reach overhead, squat and bend and be able to carry and lift 45–55-pound cases. Compensation The successful candidate will receive a compensation package comprised of a competitive salary, commissions, incentives as well as benefits. A 1099 commission position as an independent contractor is also an option.
