Warehouse Lead - Part Time

Duties

• Daily Order & Inventory Management: Overseeing and fulfilling daily orders accurately and efficiently. Tasks include order picking, packing, inventory receiving, processing returns, scheduling carrier dispatches, handling damages, and organizing stock putaways.
• Data & Reporting: Providing accurate data for inbound and outbound movement of merchandise to track inventory in real time. Reconciling any discrepancies, summarizing weekly and monthly activity, usage rates and staffing needs. Spelling and numerical accuracy is vital in this role.
• Inbound/Outbound Logistics: Organizing the receipt, storage, and shipment of our wholesale products. This includes coordinating with small parcel carriers and larger trucking companies and ensuring timely deliveries.
• Warehouse Organization: Implementing effective storage solutions to maximize space and ensure easy access to products. This may involve setting up shelving, labeling systems, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
• Troubleshooting / Process Improvement: Identifying and resolving issues that arise with computer systems, or equipment. Suggesting and implementing ways to improve warehouse operations to maximize efficiency.
• Safety and Compliance: Upholding safety regulations such as ensuring products are stored correctly and isles are cleared to prevent hazards.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse, including trash disposal, recycling, sweeping floors, and ensuring a safe and pleasant work environment for all team members.
• Additional Duties: Managing part-time staff and temps as needed for season peaks. Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, including distribution center or 3PL environments
• Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory management software such ShipHero, InFlow or similar
• Hands-on experience operating mechanical equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse tools
• Familiarity with logistics processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling techniques
• Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to manage temps effectively and communicate clearly at all levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes
• Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments
• Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and process documentation
