Experienced Caregiver Needed – Behavioral & Mental Health Support (Redding, CA)
Compass SLS & ILS is hiring an experienced caregiver in Redding to support an adult with developmental disabilities who also has mental health/behavioral support needs. If you’re confident with de-escalation, structure, and steady routines—and you want consistent hours with a supportive team—this role may be a great fit.

What You’ll Do
Depending on the client and shift, you’ll provide 1:1 support that may include:
- Behavioral support & emotional regulation (calm presence, boundaries, redirection)
- De-escalation and documentation of incidents/strategies that work
- Medication support (per care plan), daily routines, and skill-building
- Meal prep, light housekeeping, errands, and community outings
- Transportation to appointments and activities
- Personal care as needed (varies by client)
We’re Especially Looking For Someone Who Has
- Caregiving experience supporting behavioral or mental health needs (preferred)
- Strong communication, consistency, and a steady, compassionate approach
- Comfort working with care plans, structure, and teamwork with supervisors
Pay & Levels (based on experience)
- Life Guide 1 (Part-time): $18.00–$20.00/hr (29 hrs/week or less)
- Life Guide 2 (Full-time growth track): $19.00–$21.50/hr (may train new staff, support goals/money mgmt)
- Life Guide 3 (Experienced Caregiver): $20.50–$25.00/hr (ideal for experienced caregivers; works closely with management on client needs/training)

Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, valid auto insurance, 3 years driving history
- Pass background check drug test (paid by Compass)
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- CPR/First Aid completed before hire (paid by Compass)
