1099 Independent Contractor | Hybrid | Beaverton, OR
We are a growing outpatient behavioral health practice in Oregon seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. This is a hybrid position offering a blend of in-office and telehealth appointments, providing flexibility while delivering high-quality psychiatric care.
Position Overview
Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Schedule: Flexible — you set your own hours.
Setting: Hybrid (in-person clinic in Beaverton, OR telehealth).
Compensation: Competitive — 70/30 split for year 1. Will adjust over time.
Start Date: Immediate opening. It will take several months for clinician to be credentialed.
About the Role
As a contracted PMHNP, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care for adult patients. You will have the autonomy to manage your own schedule and caseload while being supported by an experienced administrative and clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including evidence-based psychopharmacological management
- Provide ongoing medication management and monitoring for patients with a variety of psychiatric conditions
- Conduct both in-person appointments at our Beaverton clinic and telehealth visits via a HIPAA-compliant platform
- Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other members of the care team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system
- Adhere to Oregon state regulations, ethical standards, and best practices in psychiatric care
- Participate in care coordination and crisis triage as needed
Requirements
Licensure & Credentials
- Active, unrestricted Oregon APRN license
- Board certification as a PMHNP-BC through ANCC
- Current DEA registration
- Active NPI number
- Malpractice/professional liability insurance
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of PMHNP clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong psychiatry clinical training will be considered
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and EHR documentation
- Strong clinical skills in psychopharmacology and psychiatric assessment
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Experience with diverse populations and a commitment to culturally responsive, trauma informed care
