Position Summary
The Manufacturing Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a safe and productive manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between production staff, management, quality, and logistics teams to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations and production personnel.
- Monitor workflow to ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Support manufacturing employees to improve productivity and performance.
- Review production schedules and adjust staffing or priorities to meet customer demands.
- Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records, inventory usage, and reporting documentation.
- Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and supply chain teams to support material availability and order fulfillment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3–5 years of manufacturing or production experience, including prior leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with SAPB1 preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods as required in a production environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in packaging, assembly, or supply chain manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
