Quality Manager

Position Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for the oversight and execution of all quality assurance and quality control activities, including supervision of quality personnel, inspection and testing of components and finished products, and management of all quality records. This role ensures compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, customer specifications, and internal procedures while driving continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Coordinates all requirements relative to Quality Control and Inspection, to ensure that the highest quality product is being produced and shipped. Coordinates work in this regard with engineering/manufacturing/packaging/shipping.

·        Responsible for implementation, documentation and record keeping of quality control inspections/releases, including receiving, in-process, final inspection tasks.

·        Manage QC Inspectors to efficiently achieve objectives, and review performance of those employees annually.

·        Performs non-routine tasks related to quality control and technical development and evaluation, as needed. 

·        Supports Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) requirements by participating in necessary procedures and tasks as an Internal Auditor.

·        Aids in the root cause investigation and corrective action on complaints as requested.

·        Maintain a high level of work area cleanliness and organization.

·        Organization and maintenance of all related QC documents, records, reports, etc. in hard copy and /or electronic format.

·        Responsible for driving completeness and closure of CAPA / SCAR / RMA’s.

·        Generates standard operating procedures

·        Communicate with customers at all levels and share the knowledge with quality staff

·        Generate monthly KPI’s (Key Performance Indicator) for clients.

Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

·        Specific quality training in requirements and procedures of ISO9001 Quality System.

·        Owns and maintains compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and customer-specific quality requirements.

·        Plans, conducts, and manages internal audits, supplier audits, and customer audits.

·        Serves as primary point of contact for third-party and customer audits.

·        Ensures timely closure of audit findings and verification of effectiveness.

·        Ability to communicate effectively with internal personnel and customer, verbally and written.

·        Ability to work in manufacturing environment, and handle containers and equipment necessary to perform duties.  

·        Knowledge and proficiency of computer software & hardware sufficient to perform job.

·        Experience in QC/QA as inspector, auditor in Quality System required.

·        Experience with testing/manufacturing of cables and harnesses per IPC 620.

·        Working knowledge of Epicor (ERP), Qpulse – Quality Management Software.

·        Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Auto-Cad Software.

·        Leads risk-based initiatives, including process risk assessments and preventive actions.

·        Analyzes quality trends and data to identify emerging risks before they impact customers.

·        Ensures corrective actions are effective, sustainable, and prevent recurrence.

Minimum Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field required.

·        Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control and assurance within assembling cables/harnesses.

·        Excellent communication skills.

·        Advanced knowledge of manufacturing operation software.
