Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys using GPS, 3D scanners, and traditional methods to gather accurate spatial data for project planning and execution.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Revit to create detailed schematics, drawings, and models based on survey data.
- Perform complex calculations involving trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and math to analyze survey measurements and ensure precision.
- Operate GIS tools like ArcGIS and Carlson for spatial analysis, mapping, and data management to support project development.
- Manage land surveying tasks including ALTA surveys, topographic mapping, construction staking, and schematic development.
- Use Trimble and other surveying equipment for data collection and ensure proper calibration of instruments like the 3D scanner and Total Stations.
- Collaborate with civil engineers to interpret survey results, prepare reports, and develop detailed schematics aligned with project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during fieldwork while maintaining meticulous records of all survey activities.
- Support construction teams by providing accurate site layouts and boundary information essential for project progress.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in land surveying or civil engineering projects with a strong understanding of land surveying principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Carlson; familiarity with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and math fundamentals critical for precise measurements and calculations.
- Hands-on experience operating GPS units, Total Stations, 3D scanners, Trimble equipment, and other surveying instruments.
- Familiarity with drafting schematics, ALTA surveys, construction staking, and schematic development processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately while adhering to safety protocols during field operations.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, contractors, and project managers.
