Job Summary
As a Sous Chef, you will support the successful daily operation of the Culinary Department within a healthcare setting. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will help oversee food production, staff supervision, menu execution, and culinary quality while ensuring compliance with healthcare food safety and nutrition standards. This role is ideal for an experienced culinary professional passionate about delivering high-quality food service in a mission‑driven healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing food costs, labor, and culinary expenses
- Support menu planning, development, and daily production
- Prepare, cook, and present meals in accordance with healthcare and dietary guidelines
- Execute catering services and special events
- Supervise, train, and support hourly culinary associates
- Assist with ordering, inventory, and supply management
- Support the rollout of new culinary programs in collaboration with company culinary and marketing teams
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and infection control standards
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience
- Progressive culinary or kitchen leadership experience
- Experience in high‑volume, complex foodservice operations highly preferred
- Healthcare, institutional, or batch cooking experience a plus
- Catering experience preferred
- Strong understanding of food quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet tools
- Willingness to participate in patient and client satisfaction initiatives
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
