SERVER ASSISTANT (ON CALL)

• We are hiring immediately for on call SERVER ASSISTANT positions.
• Location: Mission Hospital - 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: On call; Days and hours may vary. Open availability, including weekends and holidays, is preferred. More details upon interview.
• Requirements: Six months to one year of prior food service server experience is preferred.
• Pay Range: $17.50 per hour to $19.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Assists servers with various dining room activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports servers in preparing the dining room and table sets.
• Delivers orders to the table. Busses table.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others.
• Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to:
• The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
• The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
• The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
  

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
