Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced Maternal Child Health, MCH, RN Manager, Registered Nurse, for a Nurse Family Partnership Home Care Program in the Bronx, NY. Part Time Position, 22 Hours Per Week, oversees a team of Maternal Child Health RNs who make visits to Mother & Baby in the field. Qualified candidates will be experienced and knowledgeable in overseeing the Maternal Child Health Clinical Team. The RN Manager will provide leadership, develop quality assurance programs, and ensure the Program is meeting regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will also provide guidance and support to the nursing staff to ensure a high level of patient care.
- Oversee and evaluate MCH home health nursing staff, updating current policies/forms and directing quality patient care.
- Supervise and manage the nursing staff and provide support and guidance as needed
- RN Manager will need to go in the field to evaluate RNs and provide education on a quarterly basis
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure the program is meeting all regulatory standards
- Monitor and evaluate performance of the nursing team and provide feedback as needed
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring of nursing team
- Establish goals, objectives, and standards of performance
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to nursing care
- Monitor and update schedules to ensure adequate coverage
- Ensure the staff is adequately trained and provide ongoing education opportunities
- Handle patient complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum 3 years of Maternal Child Health RN experience, Previous Home health experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or Masters, preferred
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or Nurse Practitioner, (NP) preferred
- Previous RN Supervisory, RN Preceptor, RN Team Lead or Charge RN experience required
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Competitive Part Time Salary $70,000 - $75,000
