Summary: The Human Resources Assistant provides organized, detail-oriented support to the Paycom Arena Human Resources team and helps ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role maintains accurate HR records, supports onboarding and employee programs, assists with reporting and compliance documentation, and serves as a professional resource for team members while maintaining a positive work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, attendance records, and required compliance documentation.
Prepare HR reports and documents as needed, including payroll-related information and union dues documentation.
Support onboarding processes, including I-9 completion and Creating Legends activities, to provide a seamless experience for new hires.
Support and help coordinate Creating Legends and other employee programs and initiatives.
Respond to team member inquiries regarding HR policies, programs, procedures, and general HR resources; escalate matters to HR leadership when appropriate.
Coordinate and assist with employee training, orientation, and required certifications.
Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and required HR practices.
Support the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team and perform other duties as assigned by HR leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in an administrative or Human Resources role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with HR systems/software.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with close attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High level of confidentiality, discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
Familiarity with employment/labor laws and HR best practices is an advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively, provide responsive support, and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment.
