Clawson School District in Clawson, MI is seeking a student-focused Director of Dining Services to oversee nutrition programs across two school locations, serving a vibrant school community while leading a team of 15 frontline associates. This leader will be responsible for daily operations, financial performance, USDA compliance, and delivering an exceptional dining experience for students.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys building strong teams and relationships. Clawson Schools offers a supportive client partnership and a collaborative environment where student success comes first. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills, K-12 food service experience (preferred), and a passion for student nutrition. The position provides an excellent work-life balance with a Monday through Friday schedule, along with time off during evenings, weekends, holidays, and school breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
- Maintains excellent relationships with the client
- Works with the team in creating nutritious and top quality food for the students
- Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the Company marketing and culinary teams
- Acts as a liaison between the Company, Client, and the community
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree preferred
- Three plus years of foodservice management experience required
- Dining experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Financial and business acumen
- Excellent communication skills
