We are seeking a full-time COOK to join our team at Woodland Village Nursing Home in Diamondhead, MS.
The ideal candidate will have previous cooking experience and basic reading/math skills, with a willingness to train.
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $16.00 and opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
Job Summary
The COOK will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
This includes serving meals or preparing for delivery, using correct portioning and meeting outlined standards for quality and presentation.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, storing food and supplies per standards, and operating and maintaining kitchen equipment as instructed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery, using correct portioning and meeting outlined standards
- Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required
