What you’ll do

• Lead janitorial staff to ensure efficient cleaning operations across all facilities.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures that enhance overall cleanliness and safety.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to maintain high standards of cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
• Train new employees on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for all janitorial tasks.
• Collaborate with management to establish goals for the janitorial team and track performance metrics.
• Address any customer or employee concerns regarding cleanliness or maintenance in a timely manner.
• Foster a culture of teamwork and positivity within the janitorial staff to promote job satisfaction and efficiency.

Basic qualifications

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, with a strong understanding of cleaning practices.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in commercial cleaning environments, including floor care techniques such as buffing.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance best practices.
• Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.
• Previous experience as a porter or in maintenance roles is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Shift availability:

• Night Shift (Preferred)
