They are among the world's leading biotech companies, with multiple products on the market and a promising development pipeline.
Overview:
The Animal Genetic Technologies department seeks a motivated laboratory researcher who will assist in the discovery of groundbreaking therapeutics by supporting the primary research of several hundred internal customers. Recent college graduates are preferred for this role.
Job responsibilities include:
- Processing samples in the laboratory (both manually and via laboratory robotics)
- Analyzing and performing quality control of genetic data
- Helping to evaluate and implement new technologies
Skill set requirements:
- Lab experience required: instrumentation, manual PCR, validation/troubleshooting, and analyzing and reporting.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Applicants should have a learning mindset be able to work in a fluid and diverse environment.
- Possess a strong desire to participate in research support efforts while feeling comfortable working primarily in a laboratory setting.
Nice to have:
- Next gen sequencing
- Experience with NGS technologies like Miseq and/or Illumina
Experience and Education
- Candidates should have 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in a laboratory setting
- BS Degree required (Genomics or Forensics would be nice to have, but not required)
Salary : $30 - $34
