The Role
At Compass Concierge, exceptional service begins with strong, visible leadership. As a District Manager, you will oversee the performance, staffing, training, and client satisfaction of multiple residential properties throughout the Washington, DC Metro Area.
You will serve as the primary connection between Compass leadership, property management clients, and onsite concierge teams. This is a highly engaged, field-based leadership role for someone who builds strong relationships, addresses challenges before they escalate, and takes full ownership of service quality across their assigned portfolio.

What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for property management clients across an assigned portfolio
- Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, regular check-ins, property visits, and timely resolution of concerns
- Maintain a consistent field presence and develop a thorough understanding of each property’s operations, expectations, and service needs
- Oversee concierge staff, Scheduling Coordinators, the Quality Service Coordinator, and other assigned operational or training personnel
- Set clear performance expectations, provide timely feedback, and hold employees accountable for company and client standards
- Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports and monthly meetings with onsite concierge teams
- Complete 30-, 60-, and 90-day evaluations, annual performance reviews, and other formal or informal employee assessments
- Conduct onsite training, retraining, and real-time observation of concierge service delivery
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure employees receive consistent, property-specific instruction
- Oversee staffing coverage and work closely with scheduling personnel to prevent service gaps across assigned properties
- Review time-off activity, identify attendance or coverage patterns, and support fair and consistent staffing decisions
- Provide leadership with clear updates regarding staffing, employee performance, client feedback, training activity, and operational concerns
- Identify risks and service issues early, recommend practical solutions, and follow through until concerns are resolved
- Maintain a structured weekly plan for property visits, training, client meetings, and operational priorities
- Partner with Human Resources and senior leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns
- Step in to support front desk coverage when necessary while maintaining overall leadership responsibilities
- Represent Compass Concierge with professionalism, urgency, accountability, and sound judgment
What You Bring
- At least four years of leadership experience in hospitality, customer service, property operations, or a related service-focused environment
- Experience managing concierge, front desk, hospitality, residential, hotel, or commercial-service employees strongly preferred
- Experience overseeing multiple properties, locations, departments, or distributed teams
- A demonstrated ability to lead employees, address performance concerns directly, and follow through on expectations
- Strong client-management skills and the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and resolve concerns professionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organization, time management, and attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, client needs, and staffing challenges in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach to identifying problems, creating action plans, and preventing avoidable service disruptions
- Strong judgment and the ability to make timely, practical decisions with limited supervision
- Comfort maintaining a highly visible field presence with employees and clients
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Zoom, and digital scheduling or workforce-management systems
- Experience with Paycom, JotForm, or similar platforms is preferred
- A polished and professional appearance and communication style
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel regularly between properties throughout the Washington, DC Metro Area
- Flexibility to respond to operational needs during evenings, weekends, holidays, or emergencies when necessary
Schedule and Work Environment
This is a full-time, salaried position requiring at least 40 hours per week. Although some administrative responsibilities may be completed remotely, the District Manager is expected to spend the majority of their working time visiting and supporting assigned properties throughout the Washington, DC Metro Area.
The position requires schedule flexibility based on client needs, staffing concerns, meetings, emergencies, and other operational priorities.
