This role includes trainings up leaders and volunteers by equipping, empowering, and encouraging them, as well as partnering with parents.
Essential Job Functions
- Teach biblical and relevant messages that engage students with the truth of God’s Word.
- Recruit, equip, empower, and encourage volunteer leaders to become the driving force of the ministry.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, providing tools to support and disciple their students at home.
- Create opportunities for students to encounter Christ, grow in community, and serve on mission.
- Help plan and execute camps, conferences, and other major ministry events.
- Collaborate with a team to ensure Compass Students supports the larger mission of the church.
- Manage ministry communication, logistics, and budget with excellence and accountability.
- Model a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with biblical leadership.
- Demonstrate humility, integrity, and a servant-hearted approach to ministry.
- Fully engage in the ministry of the church. This includes attending a weekend service, tithing, and leadership development efforts.
- Uphold all church safety policies, child protection standards, and background screening requirements.
- Full-Time – 40 hrs
- Weekend service schedule: Saturday night 5pm – Sunday morning 8:30, 10, 11:30
- Monday-Thursday: hours flexible
- Passionate about discipling students and developing leaders.
- Strong communication and teaching skills with both students and adults.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate.
- Relational and approachable, with the ability to connect across diverse backgrounds.
- Skilled in event planning, organization, and communication
- High School Degree (required)
- Bachelors degree related to the field (preferred)
- 2-5 years of experience in student ministry leadership (preferred)
