We are a fast-paced, patient-centered behavioral health clinic dedicated to providing high-quality mental health and substance use treatment services. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to support individuals on their path to recovery and wellness.
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our busy behavioral health clinic. The LPN will play a vital role in supporting psychiatric providers, coordinating patient care, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health history updates
- Administer medications and injections as ordered (e.g., long-acting injectables)
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatment and report concerns to providers
- Assist with psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments
- Coordinate lab work, prior authorizations, and prescription refills
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and wellness strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, state regulations, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA)
- Support crisis intervention efforts as needed
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and administrative staff
Qualifications
- Current and active LPN license in Kansas
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (behavioral health or psychiatric setting preferred)
- Experience with medication administration, including injectable medications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- CPR/BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient behavioral health or substance use treatment
- Familiarity with psychotropic medications
- Crisis prevention/intervention training
