MATERIAL HANDLER
CompanyBox, a family owned and operated custom packaging provider is looking for a full-time 1st shift Material Handler to join our growing team. Responsible for movement of materials to support production needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Loading, unloading, storage and movement of materials through warehouse and production area.
- Load material onto machine lines.
- Follows proper scanning procedure and ensures scanning and inventory accuracy.
- Assist C500 operators with preparing media and maintenance tasks.
- Assist die cutting machines with pulling dies per schedule. Return used dies to rack.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move freight.
- Ensures adherence to all quality standards.
- Meets established deadlines and objectives for shift.
- Assist in other areas and with miscellaneous warehouse tasks as needed or directed.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Warehouse experience preferred
Skills/Knowledge
- MUST have prior forklift experience.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a face paced environment with minimal errors.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skill.
- Ability to multitask and work in a face paced environment with minimal errors.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Physical/Work Requirements
- Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
- For all on-the-job injuries or accidents, must notify manager/supervisor immediately.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to regularly sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
