GLUE MACHINE OPERATOR
CompanyBox is looking for a full-time Glue Machine Operator to join our growing team. Responsible for all activities associated with running the Vega Specialty Folder Gluer including setup, operation, cleanup and recommending improvements to operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Setup, run and troubleshoot gluing machine.
- Oversee automatic feeing, folding and gluing to detect machine malfunctions and monitor quality.
- Inspect completed work for defect and verify conformance to work order specifications.
- Maintain equipment by performing minor maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, adjustments and repairs.
- Complete production paperwork for each job.
- Meets established deadlines and objectives for shift.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior manufacturing experience required
- Prior glue machine operator experience preferred
- Background in corrugated manufacturing desired
- Working knowledge of cutting and creasing of various substrates
- Forklift certification
Skills/Knowledge
- General computer knowledge: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Basic math skills
- Must be highly motivated with great work ethic, very dependable, fast moving and able to work well with others
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to operate forklift effectively
Physical/Work Requirements
- Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
- For all on-the-job injuries or accidents, must notify manager/supervisor immediately.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to regularly sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
