- Inspect product to verify compliance with known specifications (all departments)
- Correctly input data into computer system
- Interpret test data as pass or fail
- Handle quality issues with peers and departmental supervision during shift
- Be proactive in addressing quality issues and provide feedback in a timely manner
- Assure that raw materials are within tolerance
- Write and place non-conforming material on hold
- Perform Layered Process Audits throughout the plant
- Perform measurement studies
- Write/update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Find Continuous Improvement Ideas in the plant
- Effectively communicate with department Managers, Supervisors and Leads
- High School diploma
- 2 year college degree preferred
- 1 - 2 years of Quality experience in an industrial environment preferred.
- Necessary math skills - Addition, subtraction, and multiplication to record accurate reports.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Periodically lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for 8-12 hours.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must be able to spot defects that could occur in each department
- Must be able to write neatly and legibly
- Must be able to distinguish between slight color variations
- Able to read, understand and verify all information on spec sheets.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess a pride of workmanship
- Demonstrate basic math skills
- Must have adequate computer skills…Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Capable of working without supervision
- Capable of interaction with management and peers
