Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant who has a valid License and Has a car to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. 4hrs/day 3x/wk
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personalized care in their homes or community settings. This position requires a commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment while promoting independence and dignity for those you serve.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with meal preparation and ensure they have access to nutritious food options.
- Implement behavior management strategies as needed to support clients with specific needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction.
- Support clients with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety during transfers and movement.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition or needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate effectively with family members, healthcare professionals, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
- Prior experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with home care practices and long-term care settings is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential.
