What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time In-Home Companion for Special Needs Young Adult position at Companion Care?
Caregiver/Companion
Our family is looking for a kind, patient, dependable, and fun caregiver/companion for our young adult son in Burlington.
He has developmental delays but is independent with his basic daily needs, including eating, dressing, and using the bathroom. No nursing or medical care is required. He simply cannot stay home alone, so we are looking for someone who can provide companionship and supervision while we are at work.
We would like someone who is willing to get out and do things with him—going for ice cream, bowling, seeing a movie, taking a walk, or finding other activities around town.
Schedule:
Tuesday–Thursday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
Flexibility with hours may be possible. No holidays.
Applicants must have reliable transportation, be comfortable around a dog, and be willing to provide references and complete a background check.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is kind, patient, reliable, and will provide a safe and positive environment for our son.
Job Type: Part-time
