Part-Time Veterinary Client Care Specialist / Receptionist

Companion Animal Medical Center is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Client Care Specialist to join our growing team!
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can provide compassionate, professional customer service during both routine and emotional situations. Our Client Care Specialists are the first and last faces our clients see and play a huge role in creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 24-30 hours per week, including rotating Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities
- Greeting clients and patients in a warm and professional manner
- Managing multiple phone lines
- Scheduling appointments, procedures, boarding, and bathing appointments
- Checking clients in and out
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Communicating clearly with doctors, technicians, and clients
- Assisting with prescription food and preventative refill requests
- Maintaining electronic medical records
- Making reminder calls and client follow-ups
- Restocking and helping maintain an organized front office
- Assisting with general cleanliness of reception areas
- Supporting clients compassionately during difficult or emotional visits
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with cats and dogs
- Ability to handle emotionally charged situations professionally and compassionately
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Reliable work ethic and willingness to help where needed
Preferred Experience
- Veterinary, medical office, animal care, kennel, or boarding experience preferred
- Experience with Impromed veterinary software is a plus, but not required
Schedule Requirements
- Approximately 24-30 hours per week
- Afternoon/evening availability required
- Rotating Saturdays required (8:00am–12:00pm)
- Occasional flexibility during emergencies appreciated
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and move throughout the workday
