Experienced Veterinary Assistant for a Fast-Paced Private Practice in Bellevue

The major goal of the veterinary assistant in our hospital is to provide quality medical care to patients, by assisting veterinarians and technicians in routine and emergency situations, and educating staff and clients in a broad range of topics that will increase awareness and compliance for responsible pet care.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and skills:
Excellent client service skills
Excellent communication skills
Administering medication
Filling prescriptions*
Basic and advanced restraint techniques
Venipuncture
Assisting with radiography
Assisting with surgical prep
Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
Checking in patients for procedures
Additional requirements include flexibility in scheduling, and a willingness to learn and grow in the profession. A Veterinary Medication Clerk (VMC) certification* is required for this position. If you do not currently hold this certification, you will be required to complete it within 120 days of hire via our hospital. Training, exam prep, and licensing fees are provided.
