Principal Engineer (Engineering Training Focus)
Compa Industries is searching for qualified candidates for an onsite Principal Engineer position at the Savannah River Site (SRS).
Pay: $80–$90/hr
Location: Savannah River Site, SC (90% Onsite / 10% Remote)
Schedule: Part-time (up to 32 hours/week, flexible)
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required

Candidates must have:
An advanced degree in engineering or related science discipline (PhD 5 years, MS 8 years, or BS 10 years of relevant experience).
Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical classroom training within an engineering or technical environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to qualify for and maintain Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Instructor status across multiple training topics.
Applicants lacking technical training delivery experience, engineering expertise, or the ability to function as an SME/instructor will not be considered.

Responsibilities and Duties
Training Development & Delivery

Develop and deliver technical classroom training for engineering personnel

Qualify and maintain SME/Instructor status across multiple engineering topics

Create, update, and maintain training materials, curriculum, and documentation

Translate complex engineering concepts into structured, effective training content
Technical Leadership & Mentorship

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff

Support workforce development and knowledge transfer initiatives

Present technical information to engineers, leadership, and trainees
Program Support & Compliance

Ensure alignment with DOE and SRS engineering standards, procedures, and programs

Support continuous improvement of engineering training processes

Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Tools & Skills

Minimum Qualifications
