Sanitation Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow assigned cleaning procedures to maintain a neat and sanitary environment in designated areas.
• Make sure all cleaning tools for employees are clean and stored properly like brushes, gloves, soap, napkins, garbage cans, etc.
• Maintain the interior and exterior areas of the warehouse to the standard level required by Master Sanitation Schedule, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash, painting, arranging, and organizing.
• Follow instructions directed by the Sanitation Technician II to assist in assembling and disassembling when washing blenders.
• Support other departments with sanitation-related needs, tools, or procedures.
• Report inventory shortages of sanitation supplies to supervisors or managers.
• Conduct deep cleaning of machine rooms, blending areas, warehouse, and production floor.
• Utilize chemicals to clean parts and surfaces.
• Prepare the building for audits and customer visits.
• Support off-site sanitation-related tasks, when required.
• Utilize a scissor lift, ladders, and rolling stairs to complete tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to walk or stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Previous experience in sanitation, preferably in the food industry or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HACCP, food safety and GMP principles.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to cooperate and work with a team
• High School diploma or equivalent
