What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Technician position at COMPACT INDUSTRIES INC?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow assigned cleaning procedures to maintain a neat and sanitary environment in designated areas.
- Make sure all cleaning tools for employees are clean and stored properly like brushes, gloves, soap, napkins, garbage cans, etc.
- Maintain the interior and exterior areas of the warehouse to the standard level required by Master Sanitation Schedule, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash, painting, arranging, and organizing.
- Follow instructions directed by the Sanitation Technician II to assist in assembling and disassembling when washing blenders.
- Support other departments with sanitation-related needs, tools, or procedures.
- Report inventory shortages of sanitation supplies to supervisors or managers.
- Conduct deep cleaning of machine rooms, blending areas, warehouse, and production floor.
- Utilize chemicals to clean parts and surfaces.
- Prepare the building for audits and customer visits.
- Support off-site sanitation-related tasks, when required.
- Utilize a scissor lift, ladders, and rolling stairs to complete tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to walk or stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in sanitation, preferably in the food industry or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of HACCP, food safety and GMP principles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to cooperate and work with a team
- High School diploma or equivalent
