2nd Shift LTO

Description

PURPOSE:

To safely utilize a forklift to move material throughout the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive a forklift safely, following Company guidelines.
• Maintain warehouse and lift truck cleanliness according to good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
• Correctly receive, transfer, ship or store material, supplies, or equipment.
• Load and unload trailers with product, recycling, supplies, etc.
• Ensure accurate records of material movements are tracked via the RF scanner.
• Utilize RF scanner to find material locations.
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out), philosophy when pulling/placing product.
• Move, stack and organize materials in designated storage areas.
• Communicate with individuals in and out of the department to ensure what task needs to be completed.
• Identify and report any damaged materials or shortages.
• Complete a pre-inspection checklist to ensure the forklift is in proper working order.
• Ensure all items have proper labels if needed.
• Assist in stock takes/inventory counts.
• Assist in audit preparation of area.
• Follow all safety and GMP requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver’s license required.
• One or more years of forklift experience.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or food environment is a plus.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• RF scanner experience is a plus.
• Ability to calculate simple mathematical figures.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
