COMPA Industries is seeking experienced Quality Assurance professionals to support major nuclear and infrastructure projects at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
This role plays a key part in ensuring quality and compliance on complex, safety-critical work in radiological and high-hazard environments. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in inspection, welding, and NDE disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute quality assurance and inspection activities on complex project scopes
- Perform visual weld inspections (CWI) and assist with mechanical and NDE evaluations
- Verify compliance with quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project teams to maintain quality performance
- Support field activities in radiological environments, particularly during installation phases
Required Qualifications
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) – required (no exceptions)
- Strong experience in QA/QC, NDE, or mechanical inspection
- Background working in nuclear, DOE, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments
- Ability to work non-standard shifts, including nights or weekends as needed
- Willingness to work in radiological areas with required PPE/respiratory protection
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience supporting DOE or nuclear facilities
- Additional certifications (e.g., NDE methods, fire stopping, etc.)
- Experience supporting construction QA/QC during installation phases
Additional Requirements
- Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
- Comfortable working onsite in a secure, regulated environment

This is a hands-on QA/QC inspection role focused on field execution and NDE support—it is not a design engineering position.
