Job Title: Medical Technician Location: Greater Fort Worth Area (Denton and Collin County) Company Summary: CommunityMed is a rapidly growing urgent care provider with multiple clinic locations in Denton and Collin County. Position Summary: The Medical Technician will assist the Provider on Duty in performing routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the urgent care clinic. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: - Room and triage patients, record vital signs, and verify reason for visit - Perform venipuncture, draw labs, administer injections, and assist with other medical procedures - Perform EKGs, swabs for POC testing, and other diagnostic tests - Maintain clinic rooms, stock supplies, and ensure equipment is in working order - Educate patients on clinic services and assist with patient inquiries - Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality - Collaborate with clinic staff and management to ensure efficient clinic operations - Complete all required documentation and record lab results accurately - Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED equivalent - Active TMB registration in good standing (for nursing staff) - Minimum of two years of Medical Technician experience - Current BLS certification and DOT Drug/BAT certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days) - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients and staff - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays - Proficiency in MS Word and Excel - Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods of time Special Skills and Knowledge: - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment - Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities - Compassionate and patient-focused approach to patient care - Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times Physical/Mental Requirements: - Ability to read and write English fluently - Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff - Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods of time - Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities - Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision If you are a dedicated and caring individual with a passion for patient care, we encourage you to apply for the Medical Technician position at CommunityMed.
