We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Empowerment Specialist to inspire and support young individuals in underserved communities. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement youth-centered programs that promote empowerment, life skills, and positive behavior management
- Provide direct support to youth experiencing homelessness, mental health conditions, or substance use disorders through case management and crisis intervention techniques
- Facilitate conflict de-escalation and behavioral health interventions to ensure safety and promote constructive resolution of disputes
- Conduct intake assessments and maintain resident confidentiality while documenting progress using data entry and collection tools
- Collaborate with families, social workers, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate comprehensive care plans
- Monitor high-risk populations using de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to support behavioral health needs
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, incident reports, and program activities using Microsoft Office applications
Skills Required (Willing to Train)
- Supervising experience working with youth or in social work settings
- Knowledge of childcare practices, security protocols, and manual handling procedures
- Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or mental health conditions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear reports and client documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse communities and underserved populations
- Experience supporting high-risk populations including youth experiencing homelessness or involved in the juvenile justice system
- Ability to manage conflict calmly while maintaining resident confidentiality in sensitive situations
