Description
Under the guidance of the Pre-ETS Manager, the High School Pre-Employment Instructor of the Visually Impaired will work directly with students ages 14-22, providing the tools, confidence, and support they need to build meaningful futures. You'll engage students through interactive lessons, one-on-one coaching, and real-world experiences, all aligned with the five essential areas of Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS):
Job Exploration and Career Counseling
Work-Based Learning Experiences
Workplace Readiness Training
Instruction in Self-Advocacy
Post-Secondary Education Counseling
### What Youll Do
Pay: $21.00-$22.50 per hour

### What Youll Do
- Inspire students to envision and achieve their employmentgoals
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons tailored to student needs
- Help students discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop life skills
- Foster relationships with schools across Wake County and work directly in local classrooms
- Collaborate with a caring, experienced team who shares your passion
- Experience working with individuals with vision impairment
- A Bachelors degree in Special Education, Exceptional Children, High School Education, or a closely related field (preferred)
- OR significant experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- A valid NC Drivers License with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites throughout Wake County
Pay: $21.00-$22.50 per hour
