Position Overview
C&WC is seeking a skilled, self-motivated Grant Writer to lead our grant development efforts. This position begins as a volunteer role with the opportunity to transition into a paid contract once funding is secured.
The Grant Writer will research, draft, and submit compelling proposals to foundations, corporations, and government entities that align with our mission. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about community wellness, mental health equity, and social impact storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Research relevant local, state, and national funding opportunities.
Write, edit, and proofread grant proposals, LOIs, and reports.
Develop and maintain a grant calendar with deadlines and submission tracking.
Collaborate with leadership to gather data, budgets, and supporting documents.
Support creation of grant templates and standard narratives for future use.
Qualifications
Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in grant writing or related fundraising roles (preferred, not required).
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines independently.
Commitment to equity, representation, and culturally responsive community work.
