Community Vision is seeking to hire full- and part-time Direct Support Professionals who can naturally connect with others and who value humanity and the dignity of others.

At Community Vision:

• Direct Support Professionals work with one person at a time. Our focus is on highly individualized, person-centered supports. You'll never be responsible for supporting multiple people at one time.
• The individuals we support are in charge. Person-centered services may take longer or require more resources, but we do not make decisions that overpower an individual's right to direct their own life.

Available Schedules (times below are approximate w/in 1-2 hours as listed):

Part-time Openings:

Position 1 (Overnight/Day): 20 hrs./wk., with sleep deduction: Sunday 8p-Monday 8p (Oregon City) Car required. ($21/hr.)

Position 2 (Overnight/Day): 20 hrs./wk.: Friday 10p-Saturday 6p (Beaverton) Driving required. ($21.50/hr.)

Position 3 (Overnights): 22 hrs./wk.: Wednesday 9p-Thursday 7a and Thursday 9p-Friday 9a ($20.75/hr.)

Full-time Openings:

Position 4 (Overnights): 32 hrs./wk.: Friday 10p-Saturday 8a, Saturday 8p-Sunday 8a, Sunday 8p-Monday 6a (Rockwood) Car not required. ($20/hr.)

Position 5 (Overnights): 36 hrs./wk.: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 8p-8a (SE Portland) Car not required. ($20/hr.)

Position 6 (Weekends): 40 hrs./wk.: Friday 8a-Sunday 8a (Beaverton) Driving required. ($21.75/hr.) Can be split into a part-time schedule.

Position 7 (Swings): 40 hrs./wk.: Monday-Friday 2p-10p (Rockwood) Car not required. ($21/hr.)

Position 8 (1 Overnight, 4 Swings): 40 hrs./wk.: Sunday 4p-Monday 8a, Monday-Thursday 4p-10p (Rockwood) Car not required. ($21/hr.)

Position 9 (2 Days, 1 Overnight): 32 hrs./wk.: Sunday 10a-10p, Monday 10a-6p, Thursday 10p-Friday 10a (Beaverton) Driving required. ($21.50/hr)

Key aspects of the Direct Support Professional role:

• Assist individuals to make choices and grow their relationships in the community.
• Assist individual with activities of daily living (Dressing, Grooming, Bathing, Eating).
• Support individual with household maintenance (Cleaning, Meal Planning, Meal Preparation).
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Assist individual to plan and get out into the community.
• Support the individual during emergency situations.
• Complete all appropriate documentation to verify work activities.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or the equivalent.
• One year of experience supporting individual(s) with disability.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a criminal history check through Oregon Department of Human Services.
• Must not be on the OIG list of excluded individuals and entities.
• Driving required for some positions; must be able to travel to various locations in the Portland metropolitan area.
