What are the responsibilities and job description for the Homebound Tutors position at Community Unit School District 200?
District 200 currently has a need for homebound instructors, particularly in the areas of high level math, science and special education.
- Contact the home of assigned student and sets up a schedule of instruction
- Communicate with school counselor or student's teachers about progress and/or assignment completion
- Takes work from the school to the student, and returns completed work to the school
- Works with the student in various subject areas as medical issues permit
- Navigate learning platform/google docs and other online sources
- Complete weekly progress report and time sheet
- Responsible for travel to and from school and/or the home
- State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred. If candidate holds a subsitute license, they must be supervised by the student's teacher that holds the appropriate PEL.
- Has flexibility in working with students who have medical issues
- Hours: flexible
- Each student typically may receive five (5) to ten (10) hours of home/hospital instruction per week.
- The rate of pay is $30/Hour
