We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations in a banking environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Part of a team that processes bi-weekly payroll, including time and attendance verification
- Maintain accurate, confidential payroll records in compliance with internal controls
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide excellent service
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare reports for Finance, HR, and audits
- Assist with deductions, garnishments, tax filings, and year-end processing (W-2s)
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- 2 years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, taxes, and internal controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience with payroll systems (ADP, UKG, Paychex, etc.) preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
