Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in the Akron/Canton area for a Speech Language Pathologist. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment to individuals experiencing speech, language, swallow, and communication disorders. Key responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, collaborating with families and caregivers to support therapy goals, and monitoring progress. Additionally, the role involves educating families about strategies for effective communication at home and maintaining thorough documentation of treatment plans and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience in Speech Therapy and Speech intervention techniques
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating Communication Disorders and Language Disorders
- Experience in addressing Dysphagia and related challenges
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Ohio
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred
- A strong CF will be considered
